Championship Basketball Game
One of my achievements would have to be winning the championship game in my 8th grade year. We played Fullington in the Semi-Final game and beat them 37 to 27. Then we got to play Terrell, whom we have beat once and lost to once. We started off by scoring 14 unanswered points. Coach Timmerman decided not to take the starters out because we were doing so well. So, we stayed in until halftime and went into the locker room leading 21 to 6. I had 8 of the 21 points. We came out of the locker room fired up and ready to go break 50 on the Eagles. It started out by me draining a three in the corner of the court. We kept beating them on every fast break, loose ball, and just overall hustling. The 3rd period ended with me hitting a three from NBA range. It was my lucky day. He finally put the backups in when we were leading 48 to 10. The final score was Westwood 51 and Terrell 13. I had 25 points.
